Āsana

"Āsana" refers to the physical postures of a Yoga practice.

 

Refinement of the body through physical postures. These postures stretch and strengthenthe body. Their purpose is to make the body strong and pliable to prepare for inner development (pratyāhāra, dhāraṇā and dhyāna).
